Sterile needles for use in surgery

Needle-thread combinations must be available in hospitals and medical offices, sterile and ready for use. A pick and place application from TRAPO feeds the needle-thread combination to the continuous aluminum foil. A second aluminum foil is placed over it, welded and perforated.

Fan chain for packaging infusion solution

The specification of the manufacturer Fresenius was to handle and pack infusion bottles effectively. The sterile solutions are erected via a fan chain specially developed for this application and packaged in a combination of bottles, package inserts and cardboard packaging. In addition, TRAPO performs quality control using scales and sensors and documents the closing of the cartons, which are then palletized.

If medical technology products are packed in cartons, layers are formed and the entire pallet load is secured fully automatically by the TRAPO Stretch Wrapper (TSW series). Autonomous, in-plant transports

Rigid conveyor technology blocks space – driverless transport systems are a highly efficient alternative, enabling multiple use of existing space. The added safety is achieved, among other things, by dispensing with forklifts. Instead, a swarm of autonomously operating TRAPO Transport Shuttles (TTS series), which are monitored and controlled by TIM as an overall unit, operates in hazardous areas.

Efficient conveyor systems for medical technology needs

TRAPO wrote the first chapter of its success story with conveyor technology. Today, we offer rigid, proven components as well as mobile conveyor systems. We have particular expertise in the field of hygienic design for high care areas. Made in Germany – the entire portfolio of conveyor systems is manufactured at our headquarters. Special components for the needs of the pharmaceutical industry in a sterile production environment are produced there in the stainless steel production facility. In this TRAPO application, trays for hospital use are conveyed to the sterilizer – and removed after sterilization.
