The success story begins with the invention of the all-side roller
In 1957, when Karl Stumpf, a sales representative from Offenbach, goes on a business trip to Hochmoor, the moor in Gescher-Hochmoor has been drained after a devastating fire. He receives an unusual offer: the site of the marshalling yard, including tools and 10 to 15 workers, for a one-time price. Stumpf jumps at the chance: In April, he founds Karl Stumpf KG, from which today’s TRAPO GmbH emerges.
Successful transformation into complete line supplier
In the 1970s, the company changes from a manufacturer of conveyor technology components to a producer of large systems.
In the 90s, the company establishes itself under the name TRAPO GmbH as a partner to industry for special systems – thanks to its own stainless steel production also in the field of clean room technology.
TRAPO is a specialist in the development, design, production and commissioning of conveyor technology, robot systems and automation.
Internationally positioned: Partner in automation
Today, TRAPO GmbH has an international structure and, thanks to decades of expertise, is a partner in automation.
TRAPO solutions are used in picking, packing, (de)palletizing, packaging, conveying, warehouse logistics, sorting and distribution technology as well as loading and unloading.
TRAPO offers cross-industry automated solutions for production and intralogistics before the need arises.
